Our Services

Transitional Living

Casa Vista’s Dual Diagnosis Transitional program provides a safe and supportive living environment specifically designed for men with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders who have achieved stability and are ready to rebuild their lives. Our program focuses on helping clients develop essential daily life skills, address their therapeutic needs, and prepare for a productive and sustainable lifestyle.
Our approach emphasizes building confidence in recovery through various evening and weekend communal activities. These activities are designed to foster a recovery network, enhance self-esteem, and promote a sense of belonging. At Casa Vista, we are committed to supporting each client’s individual goals by offering assistance with transportation, engaging in daily life activities, establishing a routine, and creating a recovery plan that supports ongoing stability and successful reintegration into school, volunteering, extracurricular activities, or work.

We are always happy to collaborate closely with outside care teams to ensure comprehensive care. Our staff is available around the clock to provide consistent support. If needed, we will facilitate appropriate therapeutic referrals.

Mentoring

Our Mentoring and Aftercare Service is designed to provide ongoing support and guidance tailored to the unique needs of each individual as they transition to independent living. This service typically includes one to two home visit per week, where our experienced mentors check in with the client to discuss their progress, address any obstacles, and offer personalized advice and encouragement. During each visit, we also conduct a routine drug test to help ensure continued sobriety and inspect the home to assess cleanliness and adherence to a recovery-focused lifestyle.

This regular, supportive engagement helps clients stay on track with their goals and reinforces the habits and routines necessary for long-term success in their recovery journey.

A Day At Casa Vista

At our transitional living house, a typical day is designed to support our clients' journey towards independence and personal growth. Mornings begin at 8:30 AM with wakeup, followed by a morning meditation meeting at 8:45 AM where clients set their intentions for the day ahead. After the meditation, staff observes clients' chores and room cleanliness, ensuring that the living environment remains orderly and supportive of each person's well-being. Staff are then available for individual coaching sessions to help clients navigate their goals and challenges. Clients proceed with their daily routines, which often include attending school, participating in Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), or going to work. Each evening, we gather for a 10-step meeting to review our day, reflect on our progress, and check in with one another. Additionally, a weekly house meeting provides an opportunity for everyone to come together for a meal, discuss any roommate or living issues, and ensure that all concerns are addressed collaboratively.

This structured and supportive environment fosters a sense of community and personal accountability, essential for the successful transition to independent living.

Testimonials

After a grueling decade of attempting long term sobriety, I came across Casa Vista.  They have achieved a rare balance of accountability, freedom, and structure that allowed me to grow in my sobriety in a safe environment. If you're looking to be done with addiction and stable in your mental health, this is the place to go. -N

I feel blessed that my son found Casa Vista and connected with Joe. I can not say enough good things about Joe Shock and his program. Joe became a mentor, friend, and somewhat of a father figure to him. Even a year later, my son continues to stay in touch with Joe
I feel that if my son had a problem he would reach out to him immediately, because he knows Joe would always be there for support. My son trusts Joe and so do I !

Ang, S

My time at Casa Vista guided me from an abyss of despair to a life I thought was impossible.  I'm grateful to my family, friends, mentors, and the sanctuary that is Casa Vista.  Thank you!
